I think it is being overly pessimistic to believe that there will necessarily be any diminution of the reasonable protections currently in place when the 1998 Human Rights Act is repealed and replaced by a UK. Bill of Rights.

The change should do away with both real and perceived interference by the European Court of Human Rights which by then will have no authority over us.

 

 Subsequently, if the populace requires or demands change this will be easier to implement than it would otherwise have been.
